Mooring Pendants

The mooring pendant ties the boat to the mooring system or mooring buoy.

Okanagan Anchor manufactures and installs high quality mooring pendants. We build our mooring pendants with a 3 strand Premium Polysteel line. Polysteel is the strongest synthetic rope in its class because of our extremely tight tolerances from fiber extrusion to the finished rope. The result is a rope of unsurpassed quality and consistency. It is Polysteel's unique characteristics, which make it a hands down choice for mooring pendants that demands a superior hold.

We can also custom build them to your boat since every boat is a little different. The desired length to the buoy, the cleat size on your boat, to the diameter of the mooring pendant, we can custom build you a secure mooring pendant and can customize each pendant with different options such as snubbers, floats, anti-chafe protection or load rated shackles. Prices vary with options and the size of the boat.

 

The mooring pendant should run as straight as possible to avoid chaffing. Sharp angles of the pendant create pressure on the line which increases chaffing. Some mooring conditions require a secondary or “safety” pennant which is typically used as a back-up in case the primary mooring pendant fails.
